Hours after the Supreme Court stayed his conviction in the criminal defamation case over 'Modi surname' remark, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that he will continue to work to protect the idea of India. On Friday, the Supreme Court addressed the Gujarat High Court's upholding of Rahul Gandhi's conviction and sentencing in a defamation case. The Supreme Court is currently hearing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's plea against the Gujarat High Court's order to not put a hold on his conviction and sentencing in the defamation case.
